Augoustiatis is one more grape variety indigenous of the general region, cultivated by Ktima Brintziki in their vineyards at the river-Enipeas Valley. The grapes grow in the ideal microclimate of the vineyard and are carefully selected to reveal their full potential. The mid-September harvest yields around 650 kg/ha. Classic red vinification is performed with selected yeasts and under controlled temperature. Augoustiatis matures for 12 months in French oak barrels and ages for another 6 months in the bottle. Deep red color with an ageing orange sheen. In the rich bouquet one can sense blackberry, sour-cherry, vanilla and unique aromas of grilled pepper. A medium-body red wine with silky tannins and a long aftertaste. Augoustiatis with its velvety texture is great  to drink upon release, yet its complexity shall increase after four to six additional years of ageing in the bottle. Definitely enjoyable as an aperitif nonetheless an excellent companion to red roasts and yellow cheese.

The rosé expression of Augoustiatis is born to catch the attention of even the most reluctant drinker. The careful extraction gives this bright, transparent red colour. Maturing over the yeasts in stainless steel tanks contributes to a complex result. Aromas of fresh berries in the nose and lively flavours of strawberry and caramel on the palate with a refreshing aftertaste. A very pleasant aperitif, yet an excellent companion to seafood and dishes with rich red sauces. Best served at 10-12 oC.
